Becoming a Christian
Who needs to be saved? In short, everyone! Anyone that does not follow the scriptures perfectly must be punished. That punishment is eternal separation from God’s love and mercy and instead spending forever under God’s wrath. Because of God’s perfect justice there had to be the perfect sacrifice. It had to be someone who was human and sinless. There is only one individual that meets that criteria.
How does one become a Christian? What a wonderful question to ask! In the book of Acts a Philippian jailer asked the exact same question. The response was, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved”. What is it about Jesus that must be understood to become a Christian? Believe in these five aspects of Jesus.

Jesus is the son of God yet came as a human. He is both 100% human and 100% God making him the only and perfect sacrifice.

Because he was God, he lived a perfect, sinless life unlike the rest of humanity.

Because Jesus lived a sinless life he did not have to die, but instead chose to sacrifice himself so that all of humanity could have everlasting life.

He was buried.

He rose again and is seated at the right hand of God.
