In Romans 8 Paul writes about the idea of a battle that Christians are consistently having. So then, brothers and sisters, we are not obligated to the flesh to live according to the flesh, because if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. The battle that Christians are having is the one between the flesh and the Spirit. Ask the question church, are you battling between the flesh and the Spirit? If not, the flesh has already won. Fight the good fight. Embrace the struggle as a signal that you are pursuing the Spirit.
