Devotional by Wes McGarry

God’s plan will be accomplished with or without the assistance of mankind. In fact, time and time again despite mankind not wanting to be used by God he still chooses to enact his will through those very people. An example of this can be found at the end of the book of 2 Chronicles. It can be observed that God’s people had been taken over by the Persian empire who was ruled by King Cyrus. The next step in God’s plan was to return his people to the promised land and rebuild the city and more importantly the temple so they could worship God. One of the many concepts that can be taken from this section of scripture is that God’s message will go out despite how mankind may try to hinder it from doing so. God uses people regardless if they want to be used by God. It is up to mankind if they will give God the glory for accomplishing such a miraculous work through sinners.
